ANXIETY PSYCHOTHERAPY STATEWIDE IN ILLINOIS AND TEXAS
From survival mode to steady ground.
THE WEIGHT OF ALWAYS BEING ON LOOKS LIKE…
- ✓ Feeling like you're juggling everything: work, relationships, expectations and scared you'll drop something
- ✓ Saying "yes" when you want to say "no" then resenting yourself for it
- ✓ Lying awake replaying conversations, wondering if you came across wrong
- ✓ Feeling guilty for resting, anxious when you're busy, and never quite "enough" either way
- ✓ Carrying the mental load for everyone else but running on empty for yourself
Your anxious mind isn’t broken.
It’s just carrying too much.
Let’s help you set some of it down.
So, What the Hell is Anxiety?
Anxiety isn’t just stress or overthinking. For many it could be, the constant hum of “not enough”, not productive enough, not present enough, not composed enough. It’s the pressure to perform, people-please, and hold it all together, even when you’re falling apart inside.
At its core, anxiety is your nervous system stuck in overdrive, trying to anticipate, prevent and control everything. It might’ve started as a way to keep you safe, keep others happy, or keep up with impossible standards. But now? It’s exhausting.
The cycle looking like this:
You try to do it all → your body protests (tight chest, racing thoughts, shallow breathing) → you bush through anyway → your body stays activated → the anxiety builds → and the cycle repeats.
And just like that, you’re stuck in the loop.
You might find yourself:
Constantly worrying about what other people think of you
Feeling guilty for taking time for yourself or for not doing enough for others
Overanalyzing every decision, convinced there’s a “right” answer you’re missing
Struggling to say no, even when you’re always overwhelmed
Experiencing physical symptoms: headaches, stomach issues, fatigue
This isn’t just in your head as it’s a real mind-body reaction to the impossible expectations places on women. And no, you don’t need to just “relax” or “practice self-care harder.”
Anxiety is exhausting, isolating, and incredibly frustrating.
But it’s also learnable. There are specific tools to interrupt this cycle, and that’s exactly what this series teaches.
The good news? You don’t have to “earn your way out of it.”
Anxiety doesn’t need another productivity hack, a better self-care routine, or someone telling you to just breathe. It needs concrete tools and a clear place to start.
This is a 6-session psychoeducation series, drawing on well-established, evidence-based concepts from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Each session teaches a specific skill so you can recognize what’s fueling your anxiety and start interrupting the cycle, in 6 weeks, no indefinitely.
Across the series, you’ll build:
Skills to recognize and challenge anxious thought patterns
Tools to regulate emotions and tolerate distress without making things worse
Ways to build a value-driven life instead of an anxiety-driven one
What you’ll be learning:
How to identify the thought patterns that keep you anxious and stuck
Practical skills like mindfulness and breathwork
Recognizing what anxiety is
The mind and body connection
Sleep
And what to do if anxiety it to much and you need more support
This series is about giving you a toolkit, not managing you long-term. You’ll walk away with skills to navigate anxiety when it shows up and then you’re done.
Each session builds a specific tool. Session 1 starts with your story so the rest of the series connects back to you.
We’ll talk through your anxiety story, what it looks like for you, when it shows up, and what is keeping it going. And cover the basics of what anxiety actually is (and isn’t). You’ll leave with your first handouts.
Week 1
Thoughts, distortions, worry and the avoidance loop that keeps anxiety in place. You’ll learn to spot the thought patterns that keep you stuck and start challenging them.
Week 2
Week 3
Practical grounding and breathing tools you can use in the moment anxiety shows up.
How anxious thoughts and behaviors disrupt sleep and specific strategies to help you rest more soundly.
Week 4
How movement and gut health connect to anxiety, and how to reconnect with what your body is telling you instead of overriding it.
Week 5
Pulling the toolkit together, identifying your personal early-warning signs and building a plan for what to do when anxiety flares after the series ends.
Week 6
Six weeks. Six tools. Room to breathe again.
This series is $165/session, pay-as-you-go.
Note* this is a different rate than CBT-I as it is not ongoing therapy but psychoeducation.

WHAT YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
-
It’s rarely just “worry”. It can look like a racing mind at 2am, a body that won’t relax, guilt over resting, or a constant sense that you’re falling short no matter how much you do. Session 1 covers this in more depth.
-
Yes, this series is designed as a focused starting point, not a substitute for deeper individual work. If you’ve been carrying anxiety for a long time, six weeks of tools can make a difference and it is a good first step whether you’ve done therapy before or not. If it becomes clear that you need more individualized support along the way, I’ll provide referrals for another therapist.
-
It’s a structured and evidenced-informed, not open-ended talk therapy. Thus 6-sessions, each with a specific focus and then you’re done. This isn’t ongoing individual therapy, and we won’t be scheduling sessions beyond the six.
-
Handouts each session, practical tools you can use right away and a clear roadmap from session 1 through wrap-up.
