Insomnia

Insomnia is a sleep condition where you may have difficulty falling asleep, difficulty staying asleep or waking up too early. About 30% of adults have symptoms of insomnia. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBTi) is a short-term therapy with long-term results. CBTi is best evidenced based treatment for sleep. Anxiety

Difficulty sleeping often goes hand-in-hand with stress and anxiety. Anxiety disorders are the most common mental health illness in the US. Over 15% of adults experienced symptoms of anxiety that were either mild, moderate, or severe in the past 2 weeks. That is 1 in 6 adults. It is highly treatable, yet only 36.9% of those suffering receive treatment. Women are twice as likely to be affected as men. There is no reason to suffer alone. Anxiety disorders are treatable with professional help. The CBTI program not only addresses sleep, but provides you tools to help reduce stress and anxiety. I’m housed in Houston, Texas but offer statewide sleep therapy (CBTI) services in Illinois and Texas including, but not limited to, the following cities: Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, El Paso, Galveston, Amarillo, Corpus Christi, Chicago, Springfield, Peoria, Champaign, Rockford, Naperville, Edwardsville, Carbondale, DeKalb, Moline, and Joliet. Let me help you from the comfort of your home.

I provide walk-and-talk sessions locally in Houston, TX. It’s where we leave the screen and walk in nature, such as a park or on a trail.

My name is Amber Simpson, LCSW-S, CMHIMP and owner of Eunoia Wellness Counseling. I’m a Sleep Therapist for Illinois and Texas residents, locally housed in Houston, TX. Hopefully, soon-to-be, your new sleep therapist!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Supervisor, who specializes and focuses on insomnia treatment. I also specialize in anxiety and health/wellness. Additionally, I treat stress and adjustment disorders. We all experience moments in our life when we don’t feel, think or behave like ourselves. I’ve been there myself.  Let me help you on your journey to overall wellness and get back to feeling the best version of yourself again. 

I’m not the kind of therapist who will sit back and listen to you go on and on then say time is up. I also will not work harder than you. However, I will work side-by-side with you to help you develop the skills you need to succeed to instill the change you are seeking. I believe in providing all around wellness and treating the whole you. I’ve been a provider in healthcare for many years and feel as though we must be treated as a whole. In my practice, I integrate both conventional and CAM (complimentary/alternative) therapies.
